I believe in bringing children together to discuss different ideas, talk about stories, and give them the opportunity to express themselves in their own words (and ways). Here is a look at the different workshops I host.
Storytelling Workshops
Its simple.. I choose a book, Arabic or English, I read it to the children, and then I ask them questions about it. These workshops are usually followed by an arts and crafts workshop, or simply a group game or activity.
Creative Story Writing Workshops
A series of workshops where children come up with their own story based on a concept they are given. These stories can be written or drawn.
Story Chains Workshops
This concept helps children think as a group of how to come up with a story starting with a known introduction. They know the beginning, and then as a group, they have to build different characters and events until they reach the end.
Public Speaking Workshops
In this workshop, children will get the opportunity to express their opinion and point of view on a specific topic using the art of public speaking. They can use supporting material, such as presentations, gadgets, body language. It could be for a public event, a YouTube channel or any other type of audience.
Live Story Performances Workshop
A group of children read a story together, and then distribute the different roles between them to act it out. This helps children understand the psychological and emotional dimension of the characters, and teaches them how to put their own personality in these stories.
